SFCASA Hosts First TAY Event: Connecting with Community
August, 2021
Last month, SFCASA hosted our first ever TAY (Transition-Aged Youth) Event at Hummingbird Farm. SFCASA was joined by advocates, youth, and community partners for a great day building community connections.
Youth in attendance had the opportunity to socialize, learn about staying safe in the ever-changing pandemic landscape, participate in an art circle, and win some gift cards. Community partners helped youth learn about resources they can access and built stronger connections with the SFCASA team.
Community partners included A. Philip Randolph Institute (APRI), Inner City Youth (ICY) part of the OMI job center (Outer Mission Ingleside), Freedom Community Clinic, and EJ Jones, an active community member who co-founded “The City Eats” and was on the board at the IT Bookman Center.
Enjoy some photos from this awesome day!
