2019 Youth Holiday Party!

Last Saturday was one of the most wonderful days of the year - our annual Youth Holiday Party! Kids of all ages came with their advocates to the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus building for a full afternoon of holiday cheer. Over 175 youth, advocates, families, and friends joined in the fun.

The San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology was there providing stellar hair and make up, and SFCASA board member Lisa Spinali and her team of elves spearheaded a unique crafting station. Olive Garden was back once again with an abundant Italian feast and Cakes for Kids volunteer bakers did an incredible job stocking our dessert table! Youth played board games, won prizes at the ever-popular bingo table, decorated hundreds of cookies, and took keepsake photos with Nemo at the Two Dudes and a Booth photobooth! There was face painting, balloon art, video games and a caricature artist - fun at every turn!

At the end of the day, youth received a gift and a stocking thanks to our incredibly generous gift drive partners. Lisa Spinali, Maverick Capital, Progress Investment Management, CRV, LinkedIn, St. Finn Barr school and church, Merrill Lynch, Neuberger Berman, Zenique hotels, DLA Piper and Susan Crown contributed over $25,000 of gifts and prizes to make the holidays even more special for our youth. And dozens of individual donors and board members contributed stocking stuffers, along with Project Glimmer and USF’s Kappa Alpha Theta!
